Bag lady

I took a couple of picture last week, some were on my phone, all of which had the same lovely purse.

Sadly, I have to admit that this purse was one she found in a drawer of mine.  I am glad it has found a new owner.

Water Party

Lily's first year of preschool ended with a water party.  She absolutely loved it!  She would laugh when she fell and enjoyed reclining in the water on her back.
I think she was trying to jump in this picture.
Grammy was out on the playground with her kids and had to stop by the party to see Lily.
It has been such a great year and it is sad to see come to an end.  Lily has changed SO much and learned SO much since the beginning of the year.

Ready to go

We are hearing more and more words pop out of this girl's mouth.  She is using two and three words together and asking short questions and making requests.

The other morning, she collected a couple of bags from our closet, pulled out a set of keys from a kitchen drawer, grabbed a pair of shoes and headed for the door.  When I found her, she was saying "Shoe on. Ready to go. Okay."  She never quite managed to get her sandals on by herself, but she was ready to head out the door!

20 months big

I better go ahead and write this because before I know it she is going to be another month old!  I snapped a few pictures of Lily one day last week in her little rocking chair and as I scrolled through them, I almost shed a tear just looking at how much she has grown in the past few months.  She looks less like a baby and more like a little girl, and a darling one at that.  She is just the sweetest, smartest, funniest little person that Tim and I have ever met!  She talks all the time when we are at home, and I love being able to communicate with her this way.  I had a heart-melting moment the other night at bedtime when she responded to one of my "I love yous" with "I love Mommy".  So sweet.  She likes to play with her babies, dollies, and an assortment of stuffed animals.  She frequently brings one along on shopping trips or outside for a swing, but there is yet to be an absolute favorite.  She loves a collection...her cards, her money, her bows, her beads, her bracelets.  She is not quite the easiest subject to photo these days, but look at how big she has gotten!
So, you want me to sit here?

Okay, so now what Mom?

Sweet little Lily

Lemons

Lily likes eating lemons.  She has been known to spot one out of a glass of sweet iced tea and request demand it.

Some of her other random food-likes of the moment are olives, pickles, ketchup, and parmesan cheese (or as Lily calls it "powder cheese").
