One and a half

We have a one and a half year old!  This month has gone by so quickly.  It has been filled with ear infections, new teeth, new words, lots of Handy Manny, and a few chocolate tastings!  As I was looking through the pictures we had taken over the past few weeks, several included Lily enjoying some sweet treats.  There were the M&Ms on Valentine's Day...

And, there were the Girl Scout cookies that arrived at our doorstep...

I think you could guess this was after a Thin Mint tasting!  

Daddy's little helper

We had a taste of spring weather on Sunday and enjoyed being outside all afternoon.  Lily helped Tim wash the wheels on the cars. 

She was unphased by the cold water coming out of the hose.  Must be something she picked up from her dad because I hate being cold! 



17 months and counting

Lily is just a little sponge right now.  She wakes up in the morning just a little wiser (and sometimes a little bit bigger) than she was the day before.  She is picking up new sounds and words all the time.  My favorites are the ones that seem to come out of nowhere.  When she sees a bird outside and makes her "tweet tweet" sound or says a word like "hippo".  Her newest skill around the house is climbing onto the dining room chairs...which leads to standing...and sometimes more climbing onto the table.  She loves to be chased around the house.  It sends her into hysterics.  Another favorite activity is putting on jewelry; necklaces and bracelets.  And, carrying bags and purses on her shoulder.  And, trying on Mommy and Daddy's shoes.  Favorite book is Go, Dog. Go!  Here she is the other weekend getting into mischief. 

She started in our bedroom, and I believe this was on her second lap around the house with one of my old cassette tapes.
